The Waltonian - August Newsletter
Hello Waltonians!
This month’s newsletter contains the usual list of events that’s happening in and around Walton. Before we get to that though, we wanted to share a list of recommendations for making the most of the rest of your summers: The Waltonian Recommends.
Hope that gave you some ideas for some end of summer activities! Here’s some of what else is happening in Walton this month:
The Delaware County Fair, of course! You didn’t need me to tell you that, but if you’re looking for a schedule, it’s available here on the fair website.
The Walton Car Fair and Vendor Show. Saturday, August 10th, from 4:00 to 8:00pm, with the cruise to take place at 6:00pm.
The Walton Farmers Market, every Friday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Don’t miss the free bike repair day on August 9th.
Meet and Greet with NYS Senator Jen Metzger, this Saturday, August 3rd, from 12:00 to 2:00pm. Village of Walton trustees Nate Jamieson and Eric Ball will also be present. Held at the Lucky Dog Store and Cafe in Hamden.
If anyone’s looking for work, check out the Greater Binghamton Job Fair on Friday, August 9th. Also, the village library is looking for a part-time library clerk (see link below).
Plenty of events at the library again this month, including free yoga events. More info in the library newsletter.
Some upcoming events at Bushel (in Delhi) that sound interesting, including DIY bookmaking.
The next newsletter is scheduled for September 1st. If there’s a September event or news you’d like us to share, just respond to this email prior to that date.
Thanks for reading,
