The Waltonian - May Newsletter

This newsletter is mostly just a reminder to vote for the school budget tomorrow.

School Budget Vote

Don't forget to vote yes on the school budget and library budget on Tuesday, March 18th, between 12:00pm and 9:00pm at the school bus garage.

To be qualified to vote in the annual school district election you must be at least 18 years of age, a citizen of the United States, and a resident within the school district for a period of 30 days prior to the election. However, you do not need to be a registered voter or own property in order to vote. The district may require proof of residency, such as a driver's license, voter registration card, or utility bill.

For additional information regarding the budget, check out the web page at You were also likely mailed a pamphlet about the proposed budget.

  • If you're looking to get in shape this summer, sports are a fun way to do so. Here are some local Facebook groups for soccer, volleyball, and hockey. Please leave a comment if you're part of another local sports group that is welcoming to new players.

  • I've heard the Village of Walton Pool is in desperate need of additional lifeguards for this summer. If you know anyone who is a certified lifeguard and looking for summer work, please encourage them to reach out to the village.
